I have reached the 250Mb storage limit available to free members. I understand that if I take out Premium membership, this limit is raised to 2Gb. My question is: what becomes of the data in excess of 250Mb when the Premium membership lapses? Does what is already stored remain accessible but no more...

I've just received an email purporting to be from Geneanet offering to assist in breaking down brick walls in three easy steps.
All the links look legitimate but I've seen nothing about this on the Geneanet pages.
Is this email legitimate or a phishing scam?

Thanks for the prompt reply.
When I select the Expert option I get a message warning me "Switching from basic to expert mode will remove your online family tree. Continue?"
Does this mean that I will lose all the work I've done?

I've read the guide and I've searched the posts but nothing I've seen so far resembles what's displayed on my screen.
