I am following through on research conducted through Geneanet France for members of the family of Salomon Levie Van Wezel (Holland 1823-1906). His son, Andries Van Wezel (1882-1943) immigrated to the US and was married, consecutively, with Jeannette Willing (1860-1934) and Adèle Van Meekren (1866-1920). There were no children in either marriage. Two brothers immigrated to the US with Andries Van Wezel, Marcus Van Wezel (1816-1933) and Joachim Van Wezel (1863-1932).

A brother of Adries Van Wezel, Judah Van Wezel, married Mietje Van der Kous (1857-1933) with whom he had 4 children, Judith Van Wezel (1877-1943), Sara Van Wezel (1879-1943), Anna Van Wezel (1861-?) and Salomon Van Wezel (1882-1943).

Salomon Van Wezel (1882-1943) married Sybil Gideon and had two daughters, Carol Solomon Van Wezel (1910-1991) and Alice Van Wezel (1914-2009). Their daughter, Carol Van Wezel (1911-1991) married Harold Weisman (1909-2001) and had 3 children of whom we have been able to identify only one, Nancy Weisman (1938-2006).

I am hoping to contact any living members of the marriage of Nancy Weisman (1938-2006) or two other as yet unidentified Weisman children who married respectively individuals named Gallagher and Wolff. Our research is related to the WWI Centennial Commemorations. Andries Van Wezel (1882-1943), the son of Salomon Levie Van Wezel made an extraordinarily generous donation for the rebuilding of a village destroyed in WW1, in memory of Paul Albert Dreyfus, a family friend who was killed there. He will be honored in a ceremony in November 2020 in the presence of the the French President and a representative of the Dutch government and we are hoping to inform and invite any living family members to be present.

Many thanks.
